Yuuko's first impression of Lyra?

And her thoughts on Lyra's departed guardian?

Earnest and intelligent. Lyra took a lot of what Yuuko said in stride and Yuuko knows better than anyone that it's not that easy to. She seem quite mature for her age, yet not jaded or cynical, which is really important: that she'd grown a lot, but was still willing to stay open to new things and ideas. That's what indicates to Yuuko that Lyra will still have room for growth, because if cynicism = stagnation and she thinks it's both remarkable and preciously rare that Lyra managed to hang on to that aspect of her childhood while still maturing. Suffice to say the impression was good and Yuuko really enjoyed her company. Plus, showing her shiny stuff from other worlds (i.e. the alethiometer) always gets bonus points!

... lol, Ingram. Hmn. Yuuko doesn't dislike him, per se... not really, since she knows that he is who he is and she can't really change that, but Yuuko does disagree with some of his views and attitudes. Especially in regards to Lyra, which came up in their very first conversation. She doesn't like that he ( ... )

I'll answer them one at a time, because, lol my keyboard and fingers would collapse if I tried them all at once. THIS IS ALSO A TL;DR WARNING. 8D

DOUMEKI:

From the beginning, he's always understood Yuuko far better than Watanuki... or, if not the Witch herself, at least the rules of her trade. For that, I think Yuuko's always had less of a mentor status to him than she does to Watanuki. She'll play that role, and she has, if he needs it, but the thing is that he rarely does need her to do that outright. He's an extremely determined kid with a healthy dose of sincerity and courage (but not brashness!) and Yuuko admires and respects that in him. If he ever gave up on anything, she would be really truly worried because that's just not like him. Doumeki is totally her pseudo-son and also her sometimes partner-in-crime and the boy who takes care of her charge when she can't be there to help. Or when she knows she just needs to step back and let them work it out themselves, even if it sucks sometimes. Not that she doesn't trust ( ... )

Yuuko's hypothetical thoughts on if Clow slept with another man? >D?

wishyuumay April 20 2008, 02:49:58 UTC
I'll let her answer this one.

"Hypothetically, I could care less. Really, Clow~ Who you choose to invite to your bed is of no concern of mi--"

... okay, that didn't work out so well. It's kind of like she said in that she wouldn't really care that it's a guy; just look at her sons. :< And since it's a guy, Yuuko wouldn't even get really jealous; she'd just assume that Clow swung that way too and wanted something different. No big deal... unless the relationship was more than friends with benefits. Of course, she's completely and utterly unwilling to admit to any of this (and muse is threatening to eat my soul right now) because they aren't officially an item yet right? So why should it matter to her who he chooses to sleep with, male or female? One would hope he has standards either way, but she can't control him.

Clearly something needs to be done D:

Clow poked me until I let him say:

"Oh, really? You don't want to control me, now? Strange, I had gotten the exact opposite impression from that night on the Ti--"

He can shut up now. (still bitter, I guess.)

ANYWAY. Um. Yes. Well, it's all hypothetical because I have a hard time imagining it happening at all, really. The man in question would have to be someone he considered an equal and psh, with Clow's ego the way it is that's not happening anytime soon.

Plus, nobody, male or female, can compare to Yuuko. ♥

Yes, even when he's this angry at her. DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT, CLOW, YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE.

Most of the reason I ask is because Clow suspects that he and Yuuko are actually more of an 'item' than she would be willing to admit. >D Then again, he's silly. For the record, I don't think he'd care at all if she slept with another woman. I mean, if he were more officially with her he might care, but at this point I don't even think he'd bat an eyelash. At all ( ... )

No, no she does not. This may or may not change depending on whether or not he brings up That Which Should Never Be Mentioned Again. >> (lol, but no, she'd never want to kill him. &hearts ( ... )

XDD I hope he's smarter than that.

And.. KINSHIP FTW. Gabe is not the typical sort of fallen angel, I don't think; whether or not it's because he's human now or the reason he fell in the first place (which I am admittedly assuming) is open to debate.

I think Gabe can has sympathy for misunderstood creatures and creatures that are forced to directly confront evil inside of them. More so after becoming a wolfman, but even before that.. because it's easier for him to see the side where people hate you, and to feel anger from really wanting to bust someone's chops.

♥ sadness for pragmatism. ;-; I wuv her so much, you know.

This is fun~

What are Yuuko's thoughts on Graendal/Basene?

Reply

unkindnessof April 20 2008, 17:29:01 UTC
Yuuko rather enjoys talking to Basene and she classifies her as a friend/acquaintance. It's always interesting and fun to talk to someone who can sympathize with the side of her that is the Witch. Of course, Yuuko is well aware that Basene can be a dangerous element and as such, does not fully trust/is wary of her, but it also makes things more interesting. After all, "good" and "evil" are human perceptions and Yuuko has been called both; "dangerous" is another thing altogether, but Basene and Yuuko are both intelligent women and she knows that they're both aware that a mutually beneficial and amiable relationship is far preferable to a hostile one. Which, really, is what the law of hitsuzen demands right? An equal exchange. She's under no illusions that the recent wards she's asked for help with is truly the "favour" that she calls it, but Yuuko's pretty sure that the price she'll have to pay will be reasonable because of the fact that they both still want to "do business" with each other, so to speak. XD
