I've gone to band concerts like Severed Savior just for a good mosh.

My favorite band is Blue Oyster Cult though so it doesn't fall under any of those categories.

If you're going to a concert just to mosh, than obviously the music is inconsequential.

If you enjoy moshing that's fine, but the only possible reason I can see to ram into eachother is because the music is so mindless that it can not keep you occupied; or just a total lack of caring about the music being played as a whole.
