Maybe it's because you're pompous, shallow and need to get some counseling. I can understand if you have had a hard life, but maybe it's because you have such a bleak outlook. Get out there and be HAPPY about it. Be cheerful. Do common good for mankind. Find gratitude in help and you will be helped back.
