I can't really make out a face, though I can understand interpreting the sensation of pain. It looked to me like a giant crab. If I were to title it, it'd be 'The Guardian.'
I don't remember what night that was exactly, but I was either developing some film for the second project or feverishly making the prints for it that you see above.
I see it now. Two eyes and a gaping mouth. Good catch.
The chemicals never bothered me, no. Only the stop bath is supposed to have a repugnant smell, I believe, and only when not diluted as I normally experienced it. I did, however, grow curious one day while changing out the chemicals and sniffed it straight from the bottle. It felt like it singed my nose hairs, though oddly I couldn't make out a smell. It just smelled strong. Very strong.
