Reading this I underwent a whirlwind of emotions. There are so many beautiful lines here. I love the way you describe their situation in short vignettes interlaced with pseudo-introspective blurbs (and the most interesting extended metaphors). I don't know, I don't want to pretend to analyze this or do anything other than appreciate that this exists for me, and everyone else, to read. ♥
