The human capacity to feel such things- the longing to take away another's pain, the ability to grieve even more over what someone else is feeling beyond one's own pain- is what keeps my faith in goodness alive. It's an incredible thing. I don't comprehend it either sometimes. It almost makes me uncomfortable, because it's so overwhelming to think someone cares that much.
