The wave collapsed on the wrong book.

Recommendations for good AUs seized, run away with and chewed over welcomed. Also anything that suggests the Harry's been about as observant as he usually is and the sneaky sods's survived. For example, Snape returns.   A community  for those who truly believe that book 7 wasn't the last we saw of Severus Snape

I can see why you're upset, because Snape was a great character - still, I don't think JKR did that badly by him in the end - certainly, I ended up feeling very sad for him, despite all the awful things he did in the book.

If you want some total escapism and don't mind self-plugs, here's Snape going to Valhalla on the ticket meant for Hagrid. It's called "The Hall of Heroes" and it's been slightly jossed by DH (the Final Battle is all wrong), but it sounds like that might actually be a point in its favour to you at this point...
