Yo, Dr. 'Dre,
it's your long lost pal Dan, writing from my new home in BKLN, NYC.
Not to nitpick or nuthin, but you're talkin' about Torx screws, not "torque" screws. And if you're fixin' to take apart 3.5" hard drives, I might suggest that you be gentle-but-firm with the lid-removal step - you'll find that once you've got all of the screws out, the thing'll still seem to be stuck on. Know what that is? It's a magnet. So, be persistant, but gentle, as you might bend the cover if you force it off too, um, forcefully.
Hope things are good for you out in the big tower in the middle of nowhere. :)

dango, how funny. I was just visiting your website this weekend. You've got a couple nice photos of your friends: "spread" and "drop". Looks like they were taken in an alley. In "spread" i can see that the background is lit in the gottesman style. Also, the photos of the dog and Att-Att are hilarious. I hope the dog doesn't move as slow as an Att-Att.
I see you've been to Japan. I only got around to reading one of your journal entries.
Torx, huh? ok. I guess it's kinda like saying OS "x", instead of OS "ten". I noticed the lid was a bit sticky... didn't realize it was a magnet. I didn't have much problems getting the lid off. It's the blasted platter that I can't get off. I busted the tip of my other torz screwdriver trying to get the platter off. I bought a smaller torz bit at Ace so that should work. Yea, I spelled "torx" with a z just to tick you off.
tower life is ok. not much to look at any more around here though.
