What's wrong with you, huh?

Today I realized one profound thing. The people that I love the most, I hate the most. Not all the time of course, just when having rows. I'm pretty sure I'm just too much afraid of betrayal, which has happened to me not once.

I think it is because you have the highest expectation of them, in regards to you. And when they don't behave accordingly, you hate them for not being up to speed with your expectation.

I came to terms a long time ago that most of the people just couldn't match and live up my expectations. But there's one basic rule can't be avoided: get abd give. And it looks like people are so preoccupied with what they're getting that they just don't have time or courage to give anything back...

That's kinda true: in this equation of get and give the weight is so often on the get side. But isn't selfishness an inborn quality in most? and it is not that bad, I may say. I, personally, have no problem with people being more interested in getting than in giving. There is so much relief in letting everyone be what they be, letting everyone off the hook, so to speak.
