Well, I did it everyone! I got myself a pet!
It was a little spontaneous, but after everyone's wonderful comments and reading things online, I feel very confident in the pet I picked!
Here he is! The newest addition to the Byrde family! Isn't he adorable?
His name is Bear and he is a four year old German Shepard/Husky mix! I took your advice, sir, and got an adult because I know it is harder for them to find a family!
Right now he is sniffing around the living room, just getting used to his new home.
He's a really big dog, but I figured that the bigger the dog, the easier it would be to keep him healthy and alive!
And look! He has different colored eyes!
Isn't that so cute?
I bought a few books on dogs that I will flip through tonight too, but if anyone has any good advice on dogs, that would really be wonderful!
