As you may or may not know, I've decided to go for my teaching credential. Thanks to Dubya, I now need to pass the CSET, the California Subject Examination for Teachers. (Yes Bush, in his infinite wisdom decided that the way to deal with a teacher shortage was to thin the herd a little.) The test comes in a variety of flavors. To teach grade school ( Read more... )

As do I. Not to worry though, you're allowed to take the CSET ad infinitum until you pass. Most of the people I tested with were on their third or fourth attempt. I'd just rather get it over with sooner rather than later.

Tsk tsk: Dubya says he wants to help the teacher shortage, but what he's really doing is working his ass off to fuck up public schools so badly that we'll have to ditch the whole system, and go for vouchers for private schools instead.
