Dr. Lawrence Britt, a political scientist, wrote an article about fascism which appeared in Free Inquiry magazine - a journal of humanist thought. Iiiiiiiiiiinteresting. Certainly sounds like the US government is aiming high, at least the parts that get rabidly ranted about on the internet (I'm not trying to minimise the bad stuff, but I realise that as someone who lives in another country and gets most of my news from other bloggers, my perspective is necessarily skewed).

Skewed? Perhaps. Far from the truth? Probably not. This place is pretty bad and getting worse. Ever since Bush was "elected" a bad harmony has sounded throughout the nation.
