[The large black dog is once again sitting in the living room, just in case, though he's on the floor this time and tense because he could hear the sound of the transformation through the thin wooden door. When the wolf finally emerges, he whines softly, calling out to his friend.]

[Remus -Moony, names interchangeable thanks to Snape - all but staggers forward into the room and toward the dog, but he steadies rapidly. Telling Sirius he was in there would be easier with speech, but he doesn't have that option and doesn't bother getting frustrated about it. He just stops in front of Padfoot, and huffs a warm breath out his nose in recognition of the question in the whine, then licks the dog squarely on the nose.]

[Padfoot shakes his head, trying to get the slobber off his nose, and nudges Moony in the shoulder gently for that. He circles the wolf curiously, learning him again, for it has been as long for Padfoot and Moony as it had been for Remus and Sirius.]

[Moony circles with Sirius, soft growl at the back of his throat and ears going back a little. He trusts Sirius - and he trusts Padfoot- but instinct and uncertanity are way too strong for him to let anyone, or anything, get behind him. Especially when he's still feeling dazed.]
