I find it funny how southerners get a 1/2" of snow and the state shuts down. We got like 8" today, and I was at work for nearly all day. Funny it is.

thats because up there, yall are prepaired for it. you have the street sweepers that clear the snow, chains for your tires, salt and sand distributers to make the roads safer, etc. we dont have that down here, so we're not ready for snow. thusly, things close because people cant drive to work. i lived in virgina for a long time, and trust me when i say...the people here dont know how to drive in snow. it's like when it snows, all road rules are off, and every man for themself. they're idiots, i swear. i think every state should be prepaired for snow, from maine to arizona.
