::hug::

That blows about the car. D: But hopefully, hopefully everything will not break down again (which could happen with cars). ::crosses fingers::

And I totally understand about your creative side run into a ditch. :/ When you can't be creative it kills you and especially if you're too busy with the stress of life. But I honestly think your work will stand up well enough on its own, even if you don't have new stuff. Though if you want to have new stuff but feel you don't have the time, maybe you could do 5 minute commissions? Or custom cards right then and there?

Speaking of Fanime, did it get confirmed that we would have a table together?

I hope life gets better for you soon and whatever happens I am looking forward to AA again with you!

Oh yes I forgot to tell you that we have tables 105-108! Sorry!

I really appreciate the support for both the car and the art. It's kinda tough already to sell my stuff cause it's not a ton of fanart so I do really need some new pieces. My best sellers in the past probably won't sell as well because people will have moved on (ie avatar/zutara stuff). And I wish I could do 5 min commissions! I can't even sketch in 5 mins lol! also I don't know enough anime anymore so most of the time when people ask me to draw characters I'm like...who? Or I'll know who it is but not enough to draw'em. But we'll see - who knows what happens when push comes to shove?

"...teaching, particularly community college. I think schedule-wise, that would work for me really well because I would only teach a few classes a day or even a week and have more time..."

Add in lesson planning, grading, office hours, faculty meetings, etc and it's a lot more than just going to a few classes a week...

Oh I know it's a lot of work. It's originally why I didn't want to be a teacher because I wanted my work to stay at work and not follow me home. But the more I think about it, even if there's work at home, at least I'm home. I can multi-task more and do planning and grading during my own time and not from 8-5 or something. I meant more in terms of required hours on location. And I wouldn't mind office hours because it gives me time to either get to know students better or do my own work if no one comes.

Uh, my Mom always said that the pharm/chem part of the nursing program was the worst. She hates that stuff. It was the only C she ever got, hehehe.

As cyrian mentioned, teaching, even at CC is more than just showing up to a few classes. There's office stuff, grading, making up assignments, etc. It takes up a lot of time. :/

Good luck with your car. I pick up my new one tomorrow! WOO!

Yes, I think Nick and Chelsea can say how much time it takes, and the headaches involved.

And that really sucks about your car. I hope things get better for you.

Yeah Nick and Chelsea have taught me not to teach english or writing or anything like that. Even if it's something I'm more likely to teach, I want to avoid it at all costs! This is why Japanese is looking a little better (more straightforward answers with the basic classes ( ... )

It's hard stuff and I like it - doesn't mean I do well in it, but I like some of it. But a lot depends on the teacher too.

But yeah there's lots of work with teaching, whatever it is, but I feel with CC there's more work that can be done off-site and on my own time as opposed to high school or such where yo'ure there pretty much everyday (depending on what class and the schedule though I guess) from somewhere btwn 7-4. At least I can do things at my own home and while I'm doing other things. And like I told Andy, if I can get away with it - I'm definitely doing some serious multiple choice, lol.

We want pics of the car!!
