what a horrible thing to have happen!! We lost an ipod in a similar fashion that I had given him as an engagement present during a really difficult transition for us, it was devastating.

When I got mugged, the guy took all of my cash (he gave me back the wallet, making him the most considerate mugger in history), and went ahead and took my watch, because it was dark out, and he couldn't see that it was kind of a piece of shit.

But the thing was, that twelve-dollar watch had been around for eight years, had survived so many lives that I'd lived. I had changed the band at least ten times, the battery three times, and its face was paint-spattered and cracked, and it was the most precious thing I'd lost that day.

I feel you, is what I'm saying.
