life or something like it, standing at the crossroads, can i trust you with this?, not a domestic goddess, family, tribe of origin, lying on the couch, the future, i can do it, ironic tag is ironic, the j word, slimming world, lonely, decisions decisions, feelings, where do we go from here?

When the only personal choices left are bad one, it is understandable why those are the ones made. It must be difficult, wanting to offer so much, but being in this situation.

I'm so sorry this is such a struggle right now.

I know you've been looking for a job, one that pays better than the stopgap you have right now. I think financial independence will help a lot of this-- making more choices your own rather than reactions to the limited options that keep hemming you in.

That article... is so true, and it made me so tired just to read it. Yes, those are the things that women-- especially mothers-- use up a lot of mental real estate on. Because someone has to.
