"I had a dream last night." Shou said, his elbows propped on the kitchen table while he watched his lover prepare breakfast for the both of them.
"Tell me about it." Saga smiled, flipping a pancake over.
Shou pushed a strand of his disheveled hair behind his ear. "I was a prince, son of a king from a country I've never heard about and I was wearing these gorgeous silver and light blue clothes of velvet and riding boots of the shiniest cream colored leather. I even wore a short cape."
Saga snorted amused.
"My father and I were traveling to visit another kingdom for negotiations. He met with a king from some other country I can't name and went to speak with him in private, leaving me to wander around the castle of white marble and gold. I kept walking along the alleys until I stood in front of a door made of finest glass with tiny engravings of flowers of all kinds. I opened the door and stepped into a huge greenhouse."
Plates filled with heaps of small pancakes were placed on the table. Saga hung up his apron and sat across Shou, smiling and nodding, signaling him to continue.
"It was like a tropical garden with orchids and lilies everywhere. Orange tress, lemon trees, banana trees, colorful birds flying around. And butterflies. I walked deeper into it until spotted a fountain in the middle of a paved, round place adorned with tiny, round tables made of colorful glass mosaics and elegant metal chairs with thick cushions. There was a young man sitting at one of those tables, idly writing something into a notebook with a long feather and ink. I approached him, bowed and greeted politely, seeing it was sheet music he was writing."
"He looked up at me, blinking as if I ripped him out of a long train of thought. Then, he smiled and blushed around his pretty nose. Our eyes met. It was you, Saga-chan, you in those beautiful wine-red shirt with it's plush frills and black velvet pants, sitting there with bare feet and your delicate crown around the inkwell. You were the prince of that country."
Shou sighed dreamily, looking at Saga with glistening eyes. "You were so beautiful I fell in love that very moment I saw you the first time."
And Saga shook his head, smiling. "History seems to repeat itself."
