Sad at the loss, but I think even the man who had to say goodbye can feel content in his goodbye to her and how they were able to do it their way.

The strength of this piece is in its physical descriptions, particularly as they're juxtaposed against the reality of the love they have for one another.

It's so interesting that at least three of the stories that came out of this prompt (mine included) were about assisted suicide/euthanasia/etc, and yet they were all so vastly different in execution and in plot. I love the tenderness here, and the way you've managed to give us such a solid understanding of what Jack and Linda's relationship was like in just a few hundred words -- that's something to really be proud of!
