Very nice to meet you!!! Hope to have something worthy of reading up here before too long. Unfortunately, this job is holding me back from all that fun stuff today. Some people in one of the "communities" I joined were curious about my trip to Kingston JA and I started writing about that. Turned out to be semi-interesting so I might post that in my journal for all you good folks too. Anyways, I'll work on getting that bday back for you. You know it's 3 days after my b-day- Geminis unite!!!

You went to Kingston? Wowsers! I've been to Jamaica 3xs & I've rented a car & traveled all the north side of the island from Negril & Port Antonio, & have even been way up into the highlands around Bob Marley's tomb, but I've never been to Kingston. Everyone warns you to *NOT* go to Kingston, but hello, I live in Dallas just a couple of miles from the inner-city ~ I've got my street smarts on & my boots are dusted, so why not.

Post at will, but no pressure though! LJ is a fun place once you settle in.

I would love to go back to JA!!! LOVE TO. Yeah, everyone says you'll get killed and robbed then stabbed and burned at the stake if you go to Kingston, but we didn't encounter anything like that and we were even young and dumb enough to venture to some really dangerous parts of the city. Everyone was SO nice. It was incredible and a life changing experience for sure. I think depending on whatever the current political climate is, Kingston can DEFINITELY be dangerous. We just got lucky. It's not a tourist spot by any means and the travel agent I booked my ticket through tried to talk me out of it. But shit, we rode on the buses and everything (quite and experience). Those people are amazing. It's like traveling anywhere- don't be a dumbass and you'll be fine....
