The job is going well, but it's fairly repetitious. I've pretty much only done one task so far, which is purifying genomic DNA from bacteria samples. It sounds somewhat interesting, but I'm afraid it's not. Especially when I have 300 more of these sample to do. I'm hoping there will be more variety next week ( Read more... )

I had a job interview today. I think the actual interivew part went horribly, but even still, I got the job. Actually, I got the job by default, since there were two positions and they only bothered to interview two people. After hearing about Veronica Mars from shamoogity, I finally spent the past three days watching the entire first season.

Holy shit, that show is intense.

I highly recommend it if you haven't watched it yet. Seriously, rent/download it now!

Just in case you were wondering, I can tell you with complete confidence that food poisoning really, really, really sucks (I was even admitted to the hospital for a day and a half because I was so dehydrated).
