If you're looking for something to connect to all of you current devices, get the 360.
My favorite part is renting movies from Amazon from work, downloading them, and then via the media connection streaming them to my 360.
Plus the whole Zune thing etc. So you have Zune Movies, Netflix movies, Amazon movies...
You gotta lot o movies is what I'm saying here. It's nifty.

As for the PS3, the only part I like that's superior is the PS3/PSP connectivity. I like renting movies on the Playstation store, transferring them to the PSP, and watching them in the airport. :)
Second Edit:
It's probably just as viable with the PS3 to make a media hub, but the 360 is specifically built to work with all that stuff to begin with so setting it up was far more simple. Everything connected with each very easily.
