So, very long time since I've posted. I've lost contact with so many people, and honestly, I've even avoided reading my unovis email account -- this online persona withered away. I think I should revive her ( Read more... )

It's good to hear from you. Caring for a dementia patient is terribly exhausting. I hope you get some good rest. Anything we can do for you?

Thanks!

I hope I'll be able to post/communicate when I'm in hospital. I don't know anyone down here except for one very good friend of Mom's. With Mom's care schedule, visits will be difficult for the sibs.

Hello, old friend! It's really nice to hear from you. Life has also been rather grueling/challenging on my end, so I send you many sympathetic vibes and encouraging thoughts. I wish you the best with your surgery, and, wow, I so understand the ridiculous realities of life that involve major surgery as a chance to recharge. I wish the best for you with your surgery and recovery, and that your sibs can step up to help give you the space to heal.

Thank you. I'm trying to be optimistic. I belong to a caregivers of elderly parents support group that has helped keep me sane this past year. 11,000 people, most of them in far, far worse situations than mine. Sympathy back atcha!

Hello, Unovis. Glad to hear from you, but sorry that you are not well. I hope that the surgery goes well and that the prognosis is good for a full recovery. Wishing you a healthy and restful new year.

Who knows, maybe I’ll write something.

We can only dream. In the meantime, I took the time this autumn to reread your complete Highlander oeuvre. Very unproductive of me, but TOTALLY SATISFYING!
