HAPPY HALLOWE'EN
OH WE BACK!
Greetin's from the Chi! Everything's going all good so far. We're still working out the space details for now, but we focus less on that and a lot more on just being together. Friday night, we just kept to each other, then Saturday afternoon we mainly ran errands, like getting me some cold weather clothes and a TV for her room. Since NU's homecoming was this past weekend, we went to some party thrown by the Black Grad Students Association later that night. It was all good there, other than the fact that the waitresses were uberditzy (Dominique kept calling our table host Silly Sally) and didn't seem to remember what a fork was, or how to take an empty drink cup from the table (I swear, the two drinks I had sat at the end of the table for more than an HOUR running time). So chillin with them was cool, on Sunday she had to work so I walked around mainly and familiarized myself with the area. Got some good reading done, then the next thing she was off so it was back to the house. Everything's coming around to form now, I have to change my number, buy some more bread (because the loaf we bought on Saturday got squished under the new TV), and put this check in the bank so I can finally have some money in there.
I finally have a random assortment of pictures from the days right after Katrina, and some shots I took since I've been here, but I'm in a really lazy mood so it might be next year before anyone sees a whole lot of em. Gotta jumpstart my errands for now though, peace out
