I got my stolen bike back? The one that got stolen back in November? Well it wasn't exactly stolen - more walked off with. (I FORGOT TO LOCK IT. Yeah, I couldn't believe it either.) Heh...what if the person that took it from you had owned it before that bike salesman stole it from them, so when they stole it from you they were thinking the exact same thing and you're going to go on stealing it from each other forever?

That has occurred to me! However, the place I bought it from is pretty reputable and I advertised on Craigslist before I bought it. These guys get bikes at police auctions in small towns around IL/WI and fix them up in their shop for sale. It's a pretty popular place (Lugs Bike Shop) and they don't want to risk their reputations by buying bikes of shady providence from shady neighborhood characters. Which reminds me - I told Ron (the guy who built it up) when it got stolen, and he was pretty upset - 3 years after selling it to me he still remembered it very fondly. I have to ride by there this week to give him the good news.
