Round 6: The Polychromatic Ensemble!

Sep 25, 2016 19:12

Hello, dear readers and writers of the 2PM fandom!

2PM has recently had another comeback, so what better time to get inspired for some fanfiction than now, when the boys are everywhere 24/7, right? ;)

We’re happy to announce the Unreal 2PM Round 6: The Polychromatic Ensemble!

So, how will this one work? Please read all the sections below carefully.

→ First of all, it’s really important that you vote on these two polls: (Polls are closed. Results are discussed in the Sign-Ups post.)
  1. ( Poll 1) This one is so the mods know how many people are interested in joining Round 6. By voting you’re not obliged to join the round; this is just so the mods can gauge how many more prompts we need (or not) depending on how many people might participate.
  2. ( Poll 2) This one is for us to decide if the Round must be held on livejournal only or if we should also post stories on ao3 and/or aff. Regardless of the results of this poll, once Round 6 is over, authors are allowed to post their stories anywhere they want.
→ How Round 6 will work:
  1. There will be a number of prompts under each of the six 2PM colors: pink, red, green, blue, yellow and purple. This doesn’t mean the prompts are related to a specific 2PM member; for example, if you choose a prompt from the blue set, you don’t have to write about Wooyoung (but you can.) The colors are just a fun way to organize it. The prompts will include songs/music videos, pictures and/or quotes.
  2. When you sign up, you will chose one or more prompts from the set. For every prompt, you must write at least 500 words. Let’s elaborate on that:
    • If you choose one prompt, you can write a story of at least 500 words.
    • If you choose two prompts, you can write a story of at least 1k or write two stories of at least 500w each.
    • If you choose 6 prompts, you have to write at least 3k, which can be for a single story or more than one: you can use 3 prompts in one story, 2 in another, 1 in a third one. You can write two stories and distribute the prompts according to how you like. You can even write four, five, six stories, but added up they should add to 3k, 500w for each of the six prompts you choose. We’re giving you creative freedom, but as a writer you must know best what you’re capable of in the time you’ll have to work on the prompts.
    • What you MUST do is write at least 500w for one prompt.
  3. In regards to interpreting the prompts, this is very subjective. If you choose a music video, for example, you can choose to focus on (one of) the scenes in the video, the song itself, (part of) the lyrics and so on.
  4. You can write canon stories, AUs, crossovers, poetry…really, anything your mind comes up with as long as at least one of the main characters is from 2PM. Try not to write member/reader stories, though.
  5. Once you choose your prompts and decide on how many stories you want to write, you can go over to the sign-up form, which will be available from the 1st to the 15th of October. (Reminder: we operate on Pago Pago Standard Time.)
  6. The mods will send you a confirmation e-mail after you sign up. We will try to do that as soon as possible, but all confirmations will be sent by the 17th of October.
  7. You must check in by the 1st of November. Information on how to do the check-in will be sent via e-mail a week before it’s due.
  8. The final story is due on the 8th of December. That means writers will have about 2 months to write a minimum of 500w. Still, if you need an extension, please let us know before the final deadline so the mods can better organize the posting schedule.
  9. If you decide to dropout for any reasons, please let us know until November 27th.
