okay, first proof of what a dork i am: so i unplugged the keyboard to clean it while doing some "housekeeping" in the office. i plugged it in about halfway through to reply to an im, then disconnected it to finish cleaning. so when i was done, i plugged it back in. the keyboard didn't work. so i tried it again. still didn't work. lather,
