Oh hey there, I haven't been here in a long-ass time. I don't even know if anyone's still reading. I haven't really felt the need or the desire to write in so long, mostly because it's been too painful to look at old entries, or remember my old life before my dad got sick. I'm sure most of you reading this already know, but my dad died on May 29. I

I've made peace with the fact that grief is this little rock that you carry around in your heart, and it rattles around in there all the time, but even more so when you hit a bump in the road.

... Yeah. I don't know what to say, other than that. Everything I've thought of sounds too flippant.

Like you I have resurrected my livejournal account after years of inactivity...and came across a lovely comment you left on one of my posts (so many years ago). I really appreciated what you said to me so I wanted to see if you were still active yourself.

Upon reading your recent posts I'm so sorry you're going through a difficult time in both your personal and professional life. You seem like an incredibly hard worker and I know your original post was a couple months ago, but I hope you're soldiering on with a new head on your shoulders.

PS: I like that you've kept the HYD Makino livejournal icon all these years :).

Ahhh, it's so nice to hear from you! Thanks for the comment. Are you going to start writing entires again? How have you been? What's going on in life?

Haha, considering my soul has never really let go of HYD (I'm actually finishing up translating the manga after so many years), it's entirely appropriate as an icon.

Omgoodness I don't think I'll continue blogging here anymore! Every past post I'm reading is cringecake - I had some laughs with my bf re-reading some entries about our first date together (cringeface to the MAX). I'm thinking of permanently deleting the journal altogether now.

I've recently completed my undergrad, and facing a wide unknown future, studying part time and job search are my priorities at the moment. :3

Did you get a chance to watch the monstrosity that was the HYD movie?

Hahah yeah I don't really feel like LJing much these days, but every once in a while I get the urge. I'm mostly on tumblr lately, but it has fewer privacy options. Are you on any other blogging platform?

What are you studying? Good luck with the job search!! I ran away to grad school for fiveish years of not having to deal with it, but my moratorium is almost over on that front, too O_O

I DIDN'T watch the HYD movie, actually. I think when it came out I was caught up with school, and by the time I remembered it existed, it was hard to find on torrent and whatnot.
