Gunshot
It has been a week since the fight. He fought with the wrong people; everyone was sure about that, even he was. I’ve been so worried that they’d take revenge on him, so worried that I had to stay beside him all the time. I do felt obligated to protect him, but I do want to protect him.
So here we are, on our way to another party. Inside the car, Jaejoong sits impatiently; he looks outside and sings along with the radio. Oh damn! The sound of his voice… so marvelous, so melodic, so magnificent; they way it makes me feel is so indescribable. Every time I hear it, it feels like it’s the first time I’m hearing it. It’s so amazing what this guy can do, even if he treats me the opposite of how I treat him.
“Pull over.” he said, he’s voice so angelic even if he doesn’t sing.
I pulled over and looked at him, but ended up staring at him. His face so beautiful, so mesmerizing; everything about him seems to be like a drug that runs through my veins in an attempt to take over me--my sanity.
He snapped at me, making me snap back to reality. “I’m sorry,” I apologized.
“What the hell, man?” he said annoyingly. “Go get me a pack of cigarettes; I’m on my last stick.”
I did it whole-heartedly with no complaints like before. I learned and knew that this feeling was beyond any doubt…true. I’d actually do anything for him even if it means sacrificing my own life.
I got the cigarettes and soju to drink for the drive ‘till we get to our next destination. I lined up in the cashier and he goes out of the car. It was like the radiant sun that rises early in the morning, so alluring, so exquisite. Then he looks at me, our eyes met but as soon as it did it he avoided it and instead pointed at his watch; what a fascinating creature.
The cashier was taking forever, so I just stood there observing once more the being that caught my mind, heart and soul. But what caught my attention this time was the two speeding cars that were headed for Jaejoong, it stopped and Heechul emerged from one of the cars who held a pistol. OH NO! This is not good. So I dropped everything and ran outside..
I opened my eyes and saw myself lying down. All I could remember was the sound of the gunshot and the blood that flowed out of my body.
“Yunho-ah, don’t leave me.” He said with his angelic voice and tears continued to fall down from his eyes.
I touched his face, wiping the tears in his cheeks and said, “I’ll always be here. Saranghabnida, Kim Jaejoong.” From that moment, I wish I had the chance not to leave.
“Saranghaeyo,” I hear his voice for the last time, I know I did and for the first time I felt the love he never expressed…
