finally got round to reading the book, and thoroughly enjoyed it. jtsy - i think you recommended this (when you saw some tony parsons lying about my room, or maybe a mention that i was reading some of the above) and coined it emotional fiction? i liked it

Hornby is fun! Tony Parsons is rubbish compared to him.
