I once again got in trouble with Professor McGonagall for wandering around 'indecently'. I was not wandering around indecently. What is indecent about having a few shirt buttons undone? I was wearing an undershirt. And it's bloody boiling around Hogwarts. If I could do a cooling charm I would, but, as it is, other people being able to see my ( Read more... )

That was quite rude of her. Just because she can cast a cooling charm doesn't mean the rest of us can. Although I can.

Last time I tried I was so cold, I had to wear a heavy faux fur coat for two weeks until it wore off. It was horrid and embarrassing. Can you teach me?

Well, of course, Lav.

But that coat was quite lovely on you. It wouldn't be a hardship to wear it again. You'd stand out, anyway.

Everything's lovely on me. I wouldn't want to wear it here, though, especially not so close to summer. Maybe if my Mum and her boyfriend take me somewhere nice and cold for skiing over the summer.

Put out about other things such as?

And Italy sounds amazing. I hear it's lovely in the summer, you must tell me all about it when you return!

Oh, nothing too terribly important.

It's all very uncertain. Mum says she's not sure whether I can go with her or not since she's not sure when exactly they're leaving. If they go while I'm still here, I might have the house all to myself for a few weeks.

Which usually means it is, but that's okay, I won't prod.

Well, either way it seems pretty win-win. Italy or having the house to yourself is both nice. With the house to yourself you can have tons of people over! And Italy's, well, Italy. Either way you'll have a good vacation, I'm sure.

And by that you mean next time you see me, you're going to ask incessantly until I crack, right? But I was telling the truth. It's just been a tiring day, honestly.

I always manage to wonderful time over the summer no matter what happens, so I'm sure I'll come up with something. If indeed they do leave without me, you can expect an invitation to the Lavender Brown House Party. You and half my neighborhood. And the Patil twins, of course. And Pansy. And Millie, if she wishes to come.

Italy sounds absolutely perfect right about now. Nice wine, beautiful landscapes, not to mention the company I'd want to bring along. Maybe next summer I'll talk Gran into letting me take a trip there. I hear they have a nice wizarding marketplace.

They really do. You can get the best clothes in Italy and in Paris, in my opinion anyway. Though sometimes you really have to have a good eye for good clothes and bargains to get the really good clothes. I really need to take you shopping one day, Neville.

Spiffing! We'll go to Gladrags. Dig around in there long enough and you can find a variety of interesting things. And, you're right, we certainly should talk, if you so desire.
