video | open to action...sort ofIn the middle of a bright summer sunshiny spot in Xanadu, surrounded by flowers and a ring of trees is a statue made of ivory cream stone. The figure is a long haired man resting on his knees. If anyone looks closely they might see evidence of an entry wound and an exit wound carved onto his torso. Still, he hears ( Read more... )

[ max was one of the people who helped fight off the golden army, but she doesn't know the connection between nuada, the attacks, and the army. she's about to skip past it, but then she notices the wound carved into the statue.

after studying it for a moment or two, she frowns and switches the device off. ]

[The wound is unmistakably fatal and it has its own story, but of those who know it, the one who received the killing blow itself has nothing to say on his own behalf. He is incapable.]

[With not much else to do but keep an eye on the network these past few days, Ginny saw the transmission the moment it broadcasted. Still, she had decided against seeking out the statue at that moment, too angry and too cold to bother. After all, the redhead's reasoning went, he had gotten enough attention over the past few weeks and she is loathe to grant him a fraction of her own ( ... )

[We shall show mercy, but we shall not ask for it.

Ginny demonstrates one half of this. Nuada has demonstrated the other. Who is right or wrong, well, that isn't up for much debate as much as the elf prince would argue it. They are not in his world and these are not the humans from it. After all is said and done, he has lost his chance to return home and change it, for better or worse.]

[Hm. That's an odd statue... Raikov decides to check it out. ... Is that... Nuada? Strange... How the hell did this happen? Was this because of that the attack...? He chuckles to himself, just staring at the purdy statue for a few seconds. An idea pops into his head and he rushes off.

About 10 minutes later, the crazy Russian returns with a sketch pad and charcoal. He plops down on the nearby bench and begins scribbling away]

I'm only doing this because you make a very lovely model when you don't look pissed off.

You know what?

[IT'S A STICK FIGURE. No actually, it is really good. Something like this only Nuada and not a back view. He's there for a long time before he's finally finished and satisfied]

We should do this more often. Maybe I'll send you a copy when you're back to normal, you know, for warning me about avoiding the streets.

[Well...that's not so bad... Maybe Nuada can appreciate it later, maybe. Like when hell freezes over!

But you're welcome, Raikov, not that he'll ever say it fff.]

[passing along, one beautiful, beautiful eeeeeee~vening ~~~

...and there's it. Hideous, all encompassing, destroyer of worlds -

A back itch.

Right between the shoulder blades, where he can't reach, too.

Thank God there's this good ol' icky, pathetic statue here to Baloo-scratch himself on. Ahnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.]

Claire takes her time getting down to Xanadu. She's heard the whispers and the facts and seen the post on the Network as some sort of humiliating beacon of a reminder. She's planned this down to the minute, strolling through the gardens with a small, fuzzy dog in tow. Mr. Muggles moves with quick feet, and Claire follows dutifully alongside, crunching over the early morning grass, the cuffs of her jeans wet with dew ( ... )
