I kinda want to get a DS game, because it seems like fun to just lie on the couch and do some farming, but not if my game is going to explode on me :(

Thanks for the tips!

You can take a look at all the reviews at Metacritic here: http://www.metacritic.com/search/process?sort=relevance&termType=all&ts=Harvest+Moon&ty=3&x=26&y=10

The DS ones seemed to get mediocre reviews, but there do appear to be two more titles coming out this year.

Thanks - Rune Factory Frontier is looking pretty good actually, it's got decent reviews and combines two things I like (farming and killing monsters).

I love island of happiness!
Harvest Moon DS is pretty much Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life which is great on the game cube. I never got into Magical Melody or the Rune Factory ones.

If you get Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for the PS2 it lets you play as a boy or girl. So does Island of Happiness.

I really like Harvest Moon DS too though I agree it does tend to get stuck from time to time, you have to save a lot. I dunno if Harvest Moon DS Cute has the same problem. But!!! If you play Harvest Moon DS with! Friends of Mineral Town for the GBA (which is also synchable to Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life through the GBA connector to the Game cube) you get extra lil content things.

Harvest Moon is just like Animal Crossing, except there's a point.
