For Esmee, With Love and Squalor 42circles April 10 2006, 22:21:26 UTC
I wish you would just quit this college nonsense and live a life in torrid squalor. For if you did that you would have plenty to write about and then you could become rich and famous and go on Oprah and be happy for the rest of your life. Torrid Squalor is a small price to pay.

While I do enjoy my Torrid Squalor, somehow I think the rest of this squalid planet is less accommodating. If it were that easy to write a book and be rich I should have done it by now... that entry was extra-emo sauce.

Here's a thought: I'll write a paragraph on something you give me. Do it. Or just give me less ambiguous life-advice, because things are a myriad pool of stagnation right now.

well I was really just thinking that if you became a rich and famous literature producer you might house me in your mansion-style house and I could bother you all the time to give you fodder for your books. Or you could just come up to New Jersey, i'm sure just crossing the border would give you a sense of tragedy enough for a whole series!

I like the mansion idea, where I could have a number of visitors to feed my books. I could totally see you in the parlor, determining what kind of gourmet vittles I should get when I can't decide.
And is NJ really that tragic? (Not my initials, of course, but they may very well be.)
