You know what? Fuck everyone in LJ Idol. What a bunch of self-absorbed, overly sensitive sad-hats. I consider myself someone to take things far too personally, especially on the internet, and I'm nowhere near as pansy as this lot. OMG I want to say something supportive, but I don't know what would be more supportive--to write the crudist insult I can think of (per your request)or to say this was SO funny in a weirdly subtle (subtle by being un-subtle?) way... it is subtextually-Baudrillardian analysis rendered in El Jeffe-ian/Bukowskian language.

LOL wow...thanks?! I know Bukowski, but that's about it. Biggest influence on how I wrote this entry would be Chuck Palaniuk, only less disgusting, by temporal proximity; I just read Fight Club.

There's a lot I could say here in general. Obviously not fond of seeing negative comments and something I put a lot into in the same sentence, even if it's directed at some of the people involved. Which, I just have to say, *at least someone* gets that it's PEOPLE who cause problems.

Anyway, there was one comment that caught my attention, and I don't know if you saw the remark that I made over at lilerthkwake's after the last vote. The two of you have been sentimental favorites of mine since. . . well in your case you made a comment early on, trying to recall what it was, maybe a Coulton reference(?) and I commented, I don't recall you ever actually responding. It didn't matter because I've been reading and hoping that you do well week after week ( ... )

Thanks, Gary...I always had the impression that I was one of those that went completely under the radar--and maybe your radar in particular.

One thing about being a Psychology major (and really having my soul in it) is that I *always* bring things back to PEOPLE, like you say. Problems between people are ultimately tied to people, with the rarest exceptions.

I really appreciate and am rather startled that you'd go so far to call me and lilerthkwake any kind of favorites of yours. Kind of funny that we were partners for the first intersection, in that light ( ... )
