LJ Idol 1: Empty Gestures

I opened my eyes and looked up from the tepid bathwater. The shower head was so far away from this angle, so tall and alien against the caked white tiles and the heavy sway of the neon green shower curtain. I shifted my knees so the exposed parts of my body submerged, and listened to the lazy, sterile ripples of water echo around the tiny chamber ( Read more... )

It was hard for me to really understand how this fitted the topic, but philosophy has always been a hard subject for me to grasp.

I have never thought how our world could look to outsiders from a different era. The closest explanation I've seen with that is Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Haha.

Good work with great imagery!

I. Loved. This! I feel like this all of the time, particularly as it relates to food. I find myself asking all the time, "WHY AM I EATING OUT OF A BOX?!" Because it just seems so wrong. My favorite belongings are the ones whose history I can trace from their beginnings - my mother-in-law's homemade greeting cards (which are absolutely gorgeous) mean so much more to me than the store-bought crappy ones.

Whoa, you really got me thinking and rambling! I guess that means you did your job. :D

I ask so many questions now to my parents, "how does this work, etc..." and my father tries hard to explain things to me, breaking it down to manageable words that I can understand. It isn't easy.

My favourite was the time, he create with different objects the solar system to help me understand the movement of the planets, Earth and sun. I think this was last year I had asked about the moon.

My school background is so bad, that I am not afraid to ask even the slightest things that I don't "get" if that makes any sense... I am so curious about what is around me, because my world is only as far as my arms' length.

Interesting take on the topic!
