You sure? He looks a couple of pounds heavier to me.
Ronon.
What? He eats all the time, it’s not like he exercises.
Rodney sat in the middle of the training room, a pair of Athosian training sticks sitting in front of him.
The rising sun falling through the stained glass windows cast strange and colorful shadows and patches of light through the room, but he remained where he was, staring down at the beautifully handcrafted wood in front of him.
He heard the door open, and he knew without looking who had entered the gym, no one else was up this early. He heard the footsteps pause as it was discovered that he was in the room.
Rodney stood up, gathering the sticks in his hands. Turning and walking towards the door, he paused beside Ronon, looking straight ahead towards the door he handed over the sticks and spoke softly.
“I reason I don’t exercise anymore, is because he was the one that keep me doing it, and it hurts to much,” With that, he left the room.
Ronon looked down at the sticks in confusion, and then realization swept through him. The sticks in his hands were the pair that always sat in the corner, the ones no-one used, he hadn’t understood why not at first, but then Teyla explained it to him.
They were Ford’s.
