I bought two pairs of jeans yesterday: one is a 9, and the other is an 11. They're the exact same brand, exact same cut. Somehow, they also fit exactly the same, though the 9's are about a quarter to half an inch longer. Unsurprisingly, I initially liked 9's best because I was like, "They fit better!" Are they Old Navy? Old Navy's clothes are hideously inconsistent, in my experience. I would order things that were the same style number and the rise was 2" shorter and it was a completely different wash. >:(

Oh, man, Old Navy sizing IS crazy! (I kind of dig it because I can wear an 8, though. /o\) But no, these were Levis. I know they vary, too, because I tried on another pair of 9's that were too small and another pair of 11's that were too big.

Jeans are weird like that. When I was younger my mom would always make me try on about four of the same exact pair in the same size because they would inevitably all fit differently.

My mom would do the same thing! I always had to try on everything I wanted because she said you could never trust the tags! Which, yeah, she was absolutely right.
