I kind of like throwing my back out - God’s way of telling me to take the whole day off and all that. Too bad respite hurts. Ahh, middle age rocks.

What the hell happened to the Abbey Road web cam?!? My day simply isn’t the same without watching people trying to duplicate the album cover every morning. It’s my daily mini-vacation.

Fours. Celebrities sometimes die in fours. Add Ali-Ollie Woodson to the other day’s list. He was the fourth great Temptations lead singer following Paul Williams, David Ruffin and Dennis Edwards. Not as famous as his predecessors, but they wouldn’t have had any hits in the 80’s & 90’s without Woodson.

Whoot! The car passed inspection today! That’s like my life’s equivalent of a holiday. Had to do it today since the 31st is an actual holiday this year and all the inspection bays will be taking the day off.

I swear, I’ve had to do more raking and debris pick-up this spring than I did last autumn. I even had to “mow” the driveway today with the tractor’s bagging attachment. There’s a pine tree half-wrenched out of the neighbor’s yard that’s a day or two away from taking out the mulberry tree. Enough with the wind already!

Great. Now I gotta wait two years for "24: The Movie".

Insects are dive-bombing the window behind me trying to get to the lights. 90-something degrees tomorrow. *sighs* And my least favorite season is underway.

Perfect Sunday… warm and humid enough that I don’t feel guilty using the AC to take the sting out, “Mythbusters” marathon all the ding-dong day (and good episodes too, not the same twelve they usually repeat ad nauseam), and to cap it all off, four and-a-half hours of “Lost” tonight to mark the end of the series - two-hour retrospective; two and-a- ( Read more... )

Feng-Huang - minus an Internet connection - is back up-and-running again in the basement, hopefully for at least another five years.
