*Sigh*

I can see both sides of this story. I really can. But that doesn't make this any easier to read.

Would someone please tell me what this war is solving...

I first read it at work and actually got up to go to the bathroom because I started crying. I can also see both sides of the situation but if all we're doing is herding mostly innocent peole around like cattle (and slaughtering some in the same manner) then it has hit the point of WTF. It's almost like we're just hanging out and f-ing around because we have nothing better to do. I could go on and on but I should be auditing the commissions...

Yeah, I don't know what to think. I feel equally bad for the soldiers since they're just doing their jobs, and this shit happens. Most of them are younger than you and I and yet they have to make split second decisions on "is this person not stoping because it's a suicide bomber, or something else?" The way these people fight over there, I probably would have done the same thing. You read stories seemingly every day about some guy driving his car into a group of people with a bomb straped to it.

The point is, how do we get out of this lose/lose situation? I'm not sure anyone has the answer right now.

WOW you just opened up a whole can of worms by asking THE question. My answer. Who knows. This is why I don't watch the news and/or read news websites. People.com is my news, even though it's equally disturbing to hear about richer than fuck celebs getting cool expensive shit for free when they are the only people that can afford it. Anyways, I guess it all goes back to life isn't fair and it never will be and shit happens to people that really don't deserve it and there is nothing we can do about it. Except maybe elect a better president next time around. Or at least one that doesn't want to go to war.
