New hard drive

Oct 01, 2008 21:05

It's bang on 50,000 times the size of my first ever hard drive. It'll be full by Friday morning. Seriously...

Some things never change :)

Yeah now that I have a drive big enough to store basically all of my non-animated movies/series/documentaries etc, I realise I need another one to back it up to. And then in a few months' time when it no longer all fits on one drive, I need to figure out another arbitrary way of partitioning my shit (maybe "stuff wot i seen" and "stuff wot i need to see"). Oh the pain :)

I need 4Tb hard drives! Also, RAID isn't what I want coz I need transportability. OH THE PAIN OF BEING A CLEPTOMEDIAC >_

No fucking way, I'm going through all this because I hate having stuff on DVDs. The fail, they go missing, girlfriends lose them, etc :)

It is entirely filled up with movies, TV series & documentaries. So, the thinking man's porn, yeah :)

My first drive was a Kalok drive. 40MB in our 386.

Thing sounded like a VW beatle on an off-road course.
