I've been noticing a bit of a kerfuffle lately regarding Web browsers, and JavaScript speed. When Google's Chrome came out, everybody wet their pants at the performance benchmarks. I'm not bothered about machine specs or how long it takes to render on any one setup, but I am after browser speed comparisons on the same hardware.

Looks like the latest Safari builds do support get/putImageData now, so you do see the output. I get about 0.9s here (for comparison), which makes it as fast as Chrome but with better features. Nice!

It's a pity their distribution packagse for win32 nightlies are so fucking awfully put together. It's the most shoddy batch scripting job I've seen in years!
