Thank you for this, it's great to have more things that sims can interact with. So, TS3 has beekeeping, who would have thought. I'll be happy to help with changing the accessory meshes if needed.
This is my third beehive since Gwenke's, and I'm so stupidly happy to have them. Thank you so much! These are great for Medieval games. (The only thing that could improve them is having Anger Bees result in Chased By Bees rather than Death By Flies, but that makes 'em need Seasons or higher.)
So glad you like it! And there are more beehives? Must find them! I love the whole concept of beekeeping for the Sims, so the more, the merrier.
The harvest capability requires Seasons as well, so EP would be no issue. Being chased by bees is a serious drain on motives, so Sims *could* accidentally die from it, right? Hmm...
Well, so far, I know of yours, Sunni's, and Gwenke's, so you're only short one version. Beekeeping is one of the things I really missed from Makin' Magic, so pretty much any hive I see, I download.
It could lead to death, but it's less likely to... but there are bees involved, not flies. I always wondered why the bees kept fly assassins in the hive.
I just recently discovered Gwenke's myself - I was on the hunt for this conversion as a deco object, actually. It's a fun addition to the game. My farmers have bees! Eee!
Wow, this is amazing. I'm always looking longingly at all the gardening objects they have in TS3 and wishing we'd have even half of them for TS2, and then you went ahead and made this!
I'm not sure I can help with the accessories part, but Klinny's tutorial on cloning new pets for the wombat cage might be useful. (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=230621) From what I've read it deals with replacing accessories for cloned objects, but it might be a different process for CC.
Hi again. Coming back to changing the accessories, I wonder what the problem was with them. Obviously cloning them could not be it, so maybe finding where their GUIDs are called in the BHAVs? If yes, I suggest Echo's tutorial (http://www.eternal-echo.net/sims/tutorials/self-refs/). Her explanations are always great and this is no exception.

Gwenke also modded the Castaway coconut, papaya, and banana trees to be harvestable, too. So very cool. http://sims2artists.com/index.php?topic=3053.0
