Obviously it started a couple weeks ago when I got dumped at the beginning of the holiday season, and then dumped on the weekend before the actual holiday, but then it just got worse ( Read more... )

The show was fine. I'm really glad that I went. It was just the circumstances surrounding the show. You never know who you're going to sit next to, and sometimes it's just someone crummy. The worst was being sick, but what can you do? Thanks again for the ticket. I still had a really good time. =)

Well Im glad you had fun. I was reading that write up and like, yikes. But thats the problem with going to shows alone.

I tend to be highly critical of shows. I have to point out the problems with anything I see, or I feel like I'm not being fair. But, I still genuinely enjoy going to shows. I loved Hairspray when I saw it on broadway, and would never regret having gone, but I was very distracted the entire time by these two male dancers that were incredibly stiff and obviously uncomfortable.

That, and it wouldn't have been consistent with the "worst christmas evAr" theme if I didn't rail about the bad stuff surrounding the show. All in all the show was the high point of the day. I hate to think of how lousy the day would have been without Jersey Boys.
