I caught part of Tomorrow Never Dies tonight, too. I, however, had the opposite problem: I couldn't watch it. Brosnan's bond feels too forced. The puns he admits were difficult for him, I believe, he didn't feel the character. And I think it shows.

I do agree with Wai Lin--she's my favorite part of this Bond movie. I liked how strong Wai Lin was and how she often got the upper hand on Bond and was definitely his equal. Brosnan, however, was the first Bond I saw in the theatre so I do feel a connection to him; Connery was the first I saw on tv. I don't have a preference, but I do like Daniel Craig in a swimsuit.

Re: title of Wai Lin's series. I have no suggestions. But I think it's a great idea.

Wai of Honor Seconded!

I love Brosnan so, so much (I have the entire Remington Steele series on DVD) but he's not Bond. For a very simple reason: he's not an asshole.

He's never even managed to play an asshole convincingly. James, while I love him, struggles with his amorality at all times. He's like House- only less cuddly. Like House he has exactly one overriding moral concern- for House it's beating Nature/Death and for James it's Saving the World (TM).

Now Sean Bean would've been a great Bond. He's also not an asshole, but he can play one convincingly.
