Apparently, from someone who was there, he saw a friend in the distance and that was his reaction! He then assured his fans he wasn't telling any of them to fuck off.

He was literally mobbed though, it was after a performance of Dont Look Back in Anger at the... Duke Royal? Is that a theatre or did I make that up?

I've read so many stories about how calm and polite he's been even when exhausted and stressed, I wonder if someone finally pushed him a bit too far here. Either that or he'soffering a friendly flip-off to Martin Freeman.
