More music of the season

Went tonight to hear Anonymous 4 singing their christmas program (*), a sort of christmas tradition for me and R, as it was one of our first official dates two years ago when we finally acknowledged that we were dating.  :-)  Most of it was medieval pieces in praise of Mary, with some early American carols thrown in at the end.  I love listening to

Happy concert anniversary! Christmas concerts must have been quite hard to go through with, across the country, though.

Yes, we were very aware of that (I actually only heard from R just before the concert started).

But one of the most distressing aspects is how easy it seems to be to just go on with life. Not that it isn't horrible, and horrifying, when I think about it. But I find I've gotten so used to things like this -- they come along like clockwork, every year or two -- and it feels so hopeless... so many guns out there already, so many people committed to there being more and more, so much money in play, no possibility of change...
