Shame. And I say that as a guy who skipped his last year.

I thought it'd be nice. Just another day, right? And it was. Afterwords I realized I have plenty of "just another days". Why would I want one more of what I already got too much of and don't really want? My advice: at the very least, treat yourself to something nice. Have a "secret" birthday or something, anything.

yeah, i know. usually my birthday is my favorite day of the whole year and i look forward to it for weeks and weeks.... but the last few months have left a sour taste in my mouth and i think i am just wallowing in birthday self-pity.
which i need to snap the fuck out of.

It turned out to be great and involved a neon green dinosaur shaped cake - what more could one ask for?
