I know that tanngrisnir said that his ME improved when he went vegetarian. I don't really know if that had anything to do with his ME or not, it could be difficult to tell what was really going on at times.
As an outside observer of the condition it does seem that doctors, even the good ones, are still reduced to sticking a pin in a list of symptoms when it comes to this. :-/
Every quack with a theory on ME will tell you a different story. My food intolerances haven't altered in the whole time I've had ME, but other people's millages vary; bottom line is the same as first diagnosing food intolerances in someone who doesn't have it. Keep a food diary and note symptoms, find a pattern of nastiness and avoid the food that causes it, add a little back in see if the nastiness comes back, if it does then there's a problem. Etc.
See, what you're saying about the food intolerance thing makes sense to me, this person has (whilst apparently in good health, some years ago) previously mentioned at least one food intolerance so I was wondering if it was more likely that the ME has highlighted a problem that was there before. The list of foods this friend is supposed to avoid is dizzying, it looks rather like oats and nuts are the only remaining available options. I appreciate that I haven't got the whole story or anything but it still seems like a slightly left-field thing for a health professional to say.
The easy one.. change the journal name. On my Home page theres a navigation bar, 2nd left is 'Journal', 3rd down is 'customize journal' and the name change is there. I'm lucky.. so far no dietry problems I'm aware of, just too much energy

I'm currently enjoying a long weekend in Wales with Shosh, and feeling mah-vellous for the change of scenery.

I want to change the journal from 'unwillinggal' to something else, see, I think Bekijane has the right of it.
