If they are your friends, you will not lose them. No matter whose residence they reside in.

I would need to move into a larger home to accommodate all of us, but it would be a very small sacrifice. I will propose this idea to them.

I know. It's rather illogical of me, but I feel my friendships with them more keenly when we are in physical proximity.

I believe that if you are not careful with the wording or your inflection, they may turn you down. You must also consider their own living arrangements and relationships already in place.
